The Canadian Society for Circumpolar Health (CSCH) is a non-government organization and registered charity established in 1984. The purpose is to improve and maintain the health of circumpolar people in Canada. We are a member-driven association of scholars, professionals, practitioners, and community members. One-year CSCH membership is open to any person in agreement with CSCH’s purpose.
Membership benefits include:
Networking activities related to circumpolar research, policy, and practice;
Discounted registration costs to the International Congress on Circumpolar Health and CSCH sponsored events;
Voting status at the Annual General Meeting;
Eligibility to hold office on the Board or Executive;
Priority consideration for periodic bursaries or travel grants as available; and
Opportunity to contribute to CSCH policy statements.
Membership is activated at time of payment. Receipt and membership status is sent immediately through email as well as stored on the membership tracking system. The membership period runs from April 1 to March 31 each year. All current members will receive a renewal notice prior to the next fiscal year. Membership fees help support administrative costs and CSCH activities. CSCH employs Bambora to provide you with the convenience of paying for your registration online. It is our intention to ensure that your information is kept safe, secure, and private.
CSCH membership is not transferable.
CSCH membership is restricted to individuals only; organizations are not eligible
Members will notify CSCH of any change in mailing address or other contact information.
CSCH reserves the right to terminate membership privileges, without refund, for an account overdue more than 60 days, or for failure to comply with terms and conditions.
Membership fees are non-refundable, unless membership cancellation is within 30 days of registration.
In accordance to ARTICLE VIII Section 1 of the CSCH Bylaws:
Annual Dues for full, organizational and student membership shall be determined by the Executive Committee. The annual dues shall be communicated at the general meeting and will be effective from that date. Annual fees shall be due on April 1 of each year.
CSCH will protect the personal information of its members. Personal information means any information about an identifiable individual. CSCH will be accountable for collecting, using and disclosing your personal information CSCH will provide an explanation of the purposes underlying any collection, use or disclosure of your personal information. CSCH will only collect the information it needs to conduct its business. CSCH will only use, disclose, or retain personal information needed for it to conduct business. CSCH will take necessary steps to ensure that the personal information is accurate. CSCH will implement safeguards for member's personal information. CSCH will facilitate individual access by members to their respective personal information.
